Who we are
The GDT (Global Discipleship Training) Alliance is a worldwide network of discipleship-mission training programs. Independent and locally managed, Alliance members share similar core values and goals even though they represent a variety of Christian denominations. Each is connected to a local cluster of churches in their region. This body, together with a Global Disciples Regional Facilitator, oversees and supports their activities.
What we do
GDT Alliance members from many nations run programs that equip and mobilize young adults to be effective disciples of Jesus Christ within their churches, communities and beyond. Alliance members share educational and financial resources and provide mentoring, encouragement and practical support to new or developing programs.
This support helps cooperating churches launch effective discipleship-mission training programs in their own region. These programs are usually ready to become Alliance members in one to three years. To be a GDT Alliance member, program representatives must support the GDT Alliance vision and meet membership criteria. All members participate in decisions that affect the Alliance.
