Testimonies

“We have often been told to live with integrity, but the lessons in the training helped us see what integrity looks like in our daily lives.”
–A graduate

“The lessons have transformed my life. I now have peace at home. In my working place non-Christians used to scoff at our testimony; now they see my life is changed and they come to ask for prayer.”
–A graduating student from the Hyderabad School, India

A participant from an Asian TOT: “I have been greatly blessed. The Lord has opened a new dimension. Before I was like a frog in a pond. I didn’t understand what true leadership is about. My mind is widely opened. How to be an influential leader yet humble and with a heart to serve. I am grateful and now I have new strength to serve the Lord.”

A chief said, “Since I was born, this is the first time I saw a white [man] washing the feet of a black. When I saw this, I knew it was God. We have heard this message for the first time. Please take our greetings to your families.”

MP (Member of Parliament). “Other people have passed through this place, but you stayed with us for two days. I go from here a completely changed man. Your message to us has been sweeter than honey.”

“I learned how leadership developed from the Old Testament to the New Testament,” said Raj in India. “I also learned the critical importance of contextualizing the program and how to set up curriculum. The conference was a totally new experience for me. I was given a sense of vision, motivation and encouragement.”

"Before teaching truthfulness I went to a man to ask forgiveness. I want to develop Christ-like character."

But our goal is not just multiplied programs, but transformed lives like the Kenyan student who sent a text message to the leader saying, “This thing is changing my life…I will transfer it to my church.” That’s what leadership development is all about.

“After the lesson on authority, I realized that I had rebelled against my pastor and needed to ask his forgiveness. I tried twice to get an appointment but failed. I almost gave up but felt that I needed to pursue him and finally was able to sit with the pastor and his wife and ask for forgiveness.”
– A presenter in a member program

Rev T. P. was impacted by GLA staff when he said: “Not only did you teach us, but your deeds proved it. Example: you stayed with us and dined with us.”
